Linda Picken Rottweiler Stein With Lid
The body of this stein has been designed with man’s best friend in mind. Raised-relief dog tags, leashes, bones, bowls and doghouses appear around the main subject panels. Incised dog paw prints help to frame these two main areas. The handle is in the shape of a raw hide chew bone. The pewter lid says ”Faithful Friend” with a dog paw print and a features a variety of embossed dogs as the border decorations. The pewter thumblift is in the shape of a chew bone. Brown glaze accents the cream body. This is Linda Picken’s tribute to the Rottweiler.
We see two excellent studies of the Rottweiler on this stein. A standing adult appears on the left panel and a sitting one on the right.
