The body of the stein is stoneware with raised-relief decoration and portrays lighthouses, dolphins, whales and waves. The handle has a rope border. The pewter thumblift is a mussel shell and the pewter lid is embossed with a leaping dolphin design. Howard Koslow, a famous painter of lighthouses and commissioned by the US Postal Service painted this pair of west coast lighthouses.
