Black Forest Commemorative Stein The twelfth stein in the ”Germany’s Most Beautiful Citadels, Castles and Buildings” Series, the Black Forest Stein, was inspired by the enchanting region in Southwestern Germany of the same name. ”Schwarzwald” rneans Black Forest, and is derived from the dense, dark splendor of this beautiful wooded area.
A focus of this stein is the Vogtsbauernhof/Vogts Family Farm Haus, built in 1570, in the typical Black Forest style, with ornate woodwork and thatched roof. Today, the haus is a museum.
The stein is made of finest-grade stoneware. It is entirely handpainted. The handle of the stein is sculpted in the shape of a Black Forest evergreen tree. On top of the pewter lid is a miniature resin figurine featuring the Vogtsbauernhof and a mill with water wheel. Pewter clockmaker thumblift.
Limited edition of 9,000 pieces. Individually numbered steins with a certificate of authenticity.
