Painted in 1935 by Ernst Schlemo, this image provides a festive actual view of the inside of the Munich Oktoberfest Schottenhamel Bier Tent. The Schottenhamels are the oldest innkeeper family, attending the Oktoberfest since 1867. This is the tent where the Oktoberfest officially starts each year, when the Mayor of Munich taps the first barrel. Same as Item #6785, but with pewter lid and hops thumblift.
